FUNERAL EXPENSES

Mrs O. Widow of Leading Railman. Her husband died and Insurance policies raised £1480 but left a funeral bill shortfall of £1680. A grant of £1500 was given to clear the bulk of the shortfall.
How We Help
 
We provide financial support to current and ex railway employees and their dependents when they need help through illness, injury, bereavement or adversity.
 
  • Child care grants to help with the costs of higher education, equipment,
    school clothing etc. for parents with financial problems.


  • Providing grants to staff who are suffering long term sickness or who have had
    to retire early through ill health and to retired staff and their dependents.


  • Helping disabled people with the costs of powered vehicles and making life
    easier for them by providing mobility aids.


  • Annuities where there is a low income.


  • Covering the shortfalls in funeral expenses.
