Our Runners

Michael Polley

Michael works for Arriva Train Care and will be taking part in the Virtual Marathon. He said:

"I joined the railways just over 5 years ago as others had told me that the railway provided security. This has been proved over the last year and I've been fortunate in keeping my position whilst others faced furlough or redundancy. I decided that running a marathon for the RBF would be the best way I could help those in an industry that gave my family security.

Sometimes I think we forget that our work colleagues are an extension of our own family and just like family you try and help each other where you can. This is what I believe the RBF embodies and why I'm running to raise funds for them."
