House of Lords Event

On the 13th November 2017, we were thrilled to host a reception, kindly sponsored by East Midlands Trains, at the House of Lords to showcase our new services.

The event was hosted by Lord Snape, an RBF vice-president, who kindly allowed us to invite our guests to such a prestigious venue.

The audience enjoyed informative and moving speeches from a wide array of rail industry figures including Secretary of State Chris Grayling MP, Peter Wilkinson from the Department of Transport, Darren Ward from East Midlands Trains, Adeline Ginn from Women in Rail and RBF Chairman Tim Shoveller.

Jason Tetley, our Chief Executive, spoke about the findings of our market research and our exciting plans to help more staff, in more ways, going forward.  In particular, the new RBF legal advice mobile app, our expanded debt advice offer and our plans to support staff with caring responsibilities were highlighted.

The audience was very supportive of our plans, and we will be working with them to turn that support into action; ensuring rail staff from across the Industry can access and benefit from the support that RBF can provide.
