Bucket & Spade Charity Charter

Date: 5th June, 2024

Location: Crewe to Scarborough

Join the RBF ‘Bucket & Spade’ charity charter for a day trip to Scarborough or the City of York if you don’t fancy the beach!

This charity charter will be hauled by Class 40 locomotive D213 ‘Andania’ with First Class Intercity carriages.

The charter will pick up and set down from Crewe, Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Victoria. There is also the option to stop off at York and spend the day there if you prefer.

Scarborough on the stunning Yorkshire Coast has award winning sandy beaches, breath-taking coastline and wonderful attractions including the castle, Sea Life Centre and cliff tramways!

York is one of England’s finest and most beautiful historic cities. Renowned for it’s chocolate, Viking history and of course the National Railway Museum

Ticket options are £199 and £99 for First Class dining or non-dining respectively.

First Class Dining includes a full traditional English breakfast on the outward journey and 3-course supper on the return. First Class (non-dining) is the same comfortable seats with tables and the option to purchase light refreshments from the buffet bar.

There will be a charity raffle on the day and all proceeds from this event help us to support the Railway Family when they need us.

Ticket sales for this event are being facilitated by the Branch Line Society. The link to book will take you to their website and the button to book is at the bottom left of the page.

Corporate dining and sponsorship on the charter is a great way for rail companies and local businesses to support the valuable work of the charity.
