The Railway Benefit Fund is an independent charity funded by railway people with a history stretching as far back as 1858. The charity, like the railway, has moved with the times. Today it reflects the needs and concerns of those working in this rapidly changing industry, offering wide-ranging assistance to active and retired railway people or their dependents.
The Railway Benefit Fund provides help for railway workers and their families in need.
We provide funds to people who have worked or are working on the railway. Last year we gave over £325,000 in grants. See how the grants have changed families lives....
Since 1858 we've been the Charity funded by railway people for railway people in distress. Today, the Railway Benefit Fund helps thousands of railway people - active and retired - to cope with problems of all kinds. We give financial assistance, practical help and wide-ranging advice, all in the strictest confidence.

The RBF relies on the support of people like you to help colleagues and their families in need and distress. You can 'do your bit' through payroll giving, a one-off or regular donation, remembering us in your will, by becoming an RBF representative, a volunteer, a fundraiser or a friend...
