Auction of Rail Experiences 2025 Concludes with Over £36,000 Raised for Railway Families in Need

The recent “Auction of Rail Experiences” has concluded, raising an outstanding £36,163 to provide vital support for railway people and their families facing challenging times. The event saw enthusiastic bidding for a range of unique lots, all generously donated by the UK rail industry.

The funds raised will directly contribute to the charity’s mission of offering a helping hand to the people behind the UK’s railways and their families when life throws up the most difficult challenges – such as illness, injury or financial hardship.

A special note of appreciation was extended to the sector’s contributors: “A huge thanks also goes out to the incredible UK rail industry for donating such awesome lots; your contributions made all this possible.”

RBF also congratulated all successful bidders and encouraged them to share their experiences. “Congratulations to everyone who won their bid; please do share your experience with us, we would love to hear how amazing it was,” Suzy Powell, Head of Fundraising, added.

The success of the auction reinforces the strong sense of community and mutual support prevalent within the UK rail sector, demonstrating a collective commitment to looking after its own.
