Introducing our new President!

We are delighted to announce Pete Waterman as the new President of RBF.

The popular broadcaster, music producer and keen railwayman is a big supporter of the Railway Benefit Fund and will now help raise the profile of the charity through his role of President.

Guests at the RBF 160th birthday fundraising dinner held in Glasgow were given a preview of the news where Pete Waterman sent a special video message to congratulate the RBF on reaching the impressive milestone.

Pete Waterman, said: “The charity is a fantastic cause. It does its best to help everybody…all railway people.”

Jason Tetley, Chief Executive of the Railway Benefit Fund, said: “We are thrilled that Pete Waterman is to become our new President. His support will certainly help raise the profile of the work we do to support current and former railway people during tough times.”

The annual fundraising dinner held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Friday (28 September) was attended by more than 150 guests from across the rail industry and helped raise extra funds for the charity.
