£3,500 Raised at IRSE York Section Dinner
Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) is celebrating a significant victory for the Railway Family this week following a spectacular evening at the IRSE (The Institution of Railway Signal Engineering) York Section Dinner.
Stepping into the spotlight as the official charity partner for 2026, RBF joined forces with the signalling community to celebrate industry excellence while raising vital funds for colleagues facing challenging times.
The evening, hosted with Amaro as the headline sponsor, was described by the RBF team as “a fantastic event.” Beyond the formal proceedings, the night provided a unique opportunity to connect with the people who keep the network running.
The atmosphere was electric as guests took part in a raffle and silent auction featuring exclusive prizes that money simply cannot buy, kindly donated by Northern.
Every penny raised during the event goes directly toward the RBF’s mission of supporting the Railway Family through financial hardship, debt advice, and emergency grants. The success of the night ensures the charity can continue to provide essential support to those in the industry who need it most.
