IRSE Annual Dinner Raises £1,880 For RBF

The IRSE community gathered at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane, London, on May 7, 2026, for a standout evening dedicated to the railway industry. The event was officially opened by the new IRSE President, Professor Rod Muttram, and featured an insightful keynote speech by Professor Andrew McNaughton.

The evening was a major success, characterised by a strong sense of community and a collective effort that raised over £1,880 for railway workers facing difficult times.

RBF thanked the attendees for their impressive generosity, noting that the contributions will provide essential support to colleagues across the sector. These fundraising efforts were driven by the invaluable work of volunteers, who worked tirelessly throughout the night.

A highlight of the evening was the inaugural Global Industry Awards, which showcased outstanding projects, innovation, and employers across the signal and control systems community. Congratulations were extended to all nominees and winners for their exceptional contributions to the field.

The entire event was beautifully organised and ran seamlessly from start to finish, leaving organisers and guests already looking forward to next year.
