Auction of Rail Experiences Raises Over £40,000 For the Railway Family

Railway Benefit Fund’s Auction of Rail Experiences has concluded for another year, raising a total of over £40,000 in support of railway people and their families facing hardship. The figure not only surpasses the charity’s fundraising target but also exceeds the amount raised during last year’s auction.

The auction featured a wide range of unique experiences, all generously donated by organisations and individuals from across the UK rail industry and attracted strong bidding activity throughout.

Funds raised through the auction will go directly towards the charity’s mission of supporting railway people and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments, including illness, injury and financial hardship.

Suzy Powell, Head of Fundraising at the Railway Benefit Fund, extended her thanks to those who contributed experiences to the auction. “A huge thanks goes out to the incredible UK rail industry for donating such unique and exciting experiences; your contributions made all this possible,” she said. “Congratulations to everyone who won their bid; do let us know how you get on once you’ve taken up your prize.”

The result reflects the strength of community within the UK rail industry, which continues to demonstrate a collective commitment to supporting its own during times of need.
