Sir Andrew Haines OBE Supports RBF with Monthly Giving Pledge

Sir Andrew Haines OBE has pledged his ongoing support to Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) by giving to the charity every month, and is encouraging others across the rail industry to do the same.

The commitment comes as the industry looks ahead to the creation of Great British Railways, a period RBF sees as an opportunity to build a railway that truly puts people first. The charity believes that a people-first vision needs a real safety net and that, alongside investment in new track and technology, the human element that keeps the railway running must not be overlooked.

Explaining his decision, Sir Andrew said: “I have pledged to support Railway Benefit Fund in their mission to help the people of the UK rail industry by giving regularly every month, and I encourage you to join me. Innovation is vital, but we must make sure that as our industry changes, the people who keep our nation moving are never left behind.”

RBF says Sir Andrew’s approach shows that supporting colleagues isn’t about grand gestures but about being there consistently. Regular donations give the charity a dependable source of income, helping it make sure railway workers can access the resources and support they need, when they need them. For around the price of a coffee a month, a regular donor can help a colleague through a difficult time.
