What is Information and Advice?      

The RBF team of experienced staff can provide information and advice on a wide range of issues via their Legal Helpline and mobile phone app. We pride ourselves on being the first step to fixing your worries.


What can this do for me?

You may be experiencing life events that impact on your financial, family, mental and physical well-being and which have a negative effect on your day-to-day life.

Unexpected life events or change in circumstances that can affect us all include:

  • Illness an health issues
  • Death and bereavement
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Domestic violence
  • Family issues
  • Unexpected expenditure
  • Debt and money worries
  • Changes to work patterns
  • Redundancy


The RBF Legal Helpline is a free service which offers access to specialist legal advice across a range of different areas of law from wills and probate to child access disputes.

The RBF App is a free open access advice resource which offers information 24 hours a day on a wider range of legal matters, from parking fines to divorce and relationship breakdown. 

Occasionally, it may be that a situation requires specialist support. Whatever your situation or concern we won't turn you away. If you come to us with a problem, even if we are unable to assist you ourselves, we will signpost you to one of our specialist partner organisations. You can find a list of these organisations here.

 

What are the Criteria?

  • You must be a current, former or retired rail employee, including working in the supply chain

 

How do I apply?

  • Call the RBF Legal Helpline on 0345 241 2885 (option 2).
  • Download the app for Android and Apple devices via the Apple Store or Google Play - just search for Railway Benefit Fund
