What is the criteria?

Legal support is for anyone connected to the UK railway sector, including supply chain. Current, former and retired workers can access support.

RBF offers free and confidential legal advice through a dedicated helpline, giving you direct access to legal specialists at Law Express. the service provides advice across a wide range of legal issues, including employment, property, finances, consumer issues and personal injury.

How do I access support?

To access free legal advice, please call 01275 378848

When you call, Please let the adviser know you are calling through Railway Benefit fund. You will be asked a few basic details about your railway connection (for example your employer). this helps us to confirm eligibility to access support and ensure the support is reaching people across the railway community.

Any information you provide will be treated confidentially and shared only between Law Express and Railway Benefit fund for the purposes of providing this service.

I’m finding it really helpful. I sometimes go a long time without anyone to talk to and it’s very hard. I’m 94 and meeting new people is difficult, so check in and chat in my own home with a lovely lady to talk to is fantastic. I still manage to get to town to run my errands, although at my age I don’t run! But the casual conversations I have with shop keepers are nothing like the calls, which are much more personal and involved.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for the help and support this charity has given us, before this I felt so hopeless and worried about the future, it has been a really tough, stressful year but I now have some sense of positivity that things will get easier and that wouldn’t have happened without RBF’s support.
