Ganymede Charity Golf Day Raises £13,370 for Railway Benefit Fund
Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) would like to thank Ganymede for organising a fantastic Charity Golf Day in support of the charity, raising an incredible £13,370.
After months of hard work and planning by the Ganymede team, the event took place at the stunning Morley Hayes golf course in Derbyshire , and not even the famously unpredictable British weather could dampen spirits, with players experiencing just about every season in a single day.
The event was a complete sell-out, with all 18 teams sponsored and filled , a testament to the generosity and enthusiasm of the UK rail industry. Golfers took to the course in eye-catching red polos kindly sponsored by Garmentec Group Ltd, giving everyone the chance to channel their inner Tiger Woods.
On-course competitions were generously sponsored by Dynamic Group and Railsafe Group, adding an extra layer of fun and friendly rivalry to the day. Players also enjoyed an impressive raffle featuring 27 prizes , from track cycling experiences to golf four-balls, meaning there really was something for everyone.
Morley Hayes proved the perfect backdrop for the day, complete with a surprising array of wildlife, with deer, hares, rabbits and geese all making an appearance between holes.
Every penny raised will go towards supporting railway people and their families when they need it most. As a charity, RBF relies on the generosity of the rail industry to deliver its mission, and events like this make a real and lasting difference.
RBF would like to extend its thanks to Ganymede, Dynamic Group, Railsafe Group, Garmentec Group Ltd, Morley Hayes, and everyone who played, sponsored and supported the day.
