Railway Benefit Fund Raises £1,240 at Modern Railways’ Railway Innovation Awards

Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) is delighted to have taken part in this year’s Railway Innovation Awards, as Charity Partner, hosted by Modern Railways at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London, where £1,240 was raised in support of the UK’s Railway Family.

The Railway Innovation Awards, now in its 28th year, brought together operators, infrastructure owners, manufacturers and service providers from across the industry to celebrate the very best in rail innovation. Guests enjoyed an inspiring after-lunch speech from Luisa Moisio, Director of Research at RSSB, who reflected on the industry’s drive to develop practical solutions across engineering, operations and sustainability.

We are enormously grateful to Modern Railways for the invitation to be part of such a special occasion, and to everyone who dug deep on the day to help us raise vital funds for railway people and their families going through difficult times.

As always, none of this would have been possible without our fantastic volunteers, who were there for the railway family from start to finish. Our thanks go to volunteers from NSAR, the House of Commons and Network Rail, whose energy and generosity of time helped make the day such a success. It’s this kind of support that proves, time and again, that the Railway Family looks after its own.

We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to the sponsors, Resonate, RIA and Porterbrook, whose support was instrumental in reaching this fantastic total.

Every penny raised will go directly towards RBF’s work supporting current, former and retired railway staff and their families across the UK, offering financial aid, wellbeing services and a helping hand when life gets tough.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to another brilliant day for the railway family.
