RBF Annual Golf Day Raises £22,000 for Railway Family

Railway Benefit Fund’s Annual Charity Golf Day at Hendon on 11 June, proved that a bit of drizzle is no match for a great crowd and an even greater cause. Spirits were high from the first tee to the final putt, with the kind of banter and camaraderie that makes days like this one to remember.

And when the scorecards were finally tallied, it was Freightliner who took home the bragging rights and the RBF trophy to go with them. Well played.

But the real winner on the day was the railway community itself. A remarkable £22,000 was raised to support railway people and their families across the UK going through tough times, a figure that speaks volumes about the generosity of everyone who took part.

Transport UK Group stepped up as headline sponsor, and their support was instrumental in making the day the success it was. RBF thanked all 19 teams, who showed up for their railway colleagues.
