RBF Raises £3,500 at RFG Awards Dinner

RBF received a £3,500 boost after attendees at the Rail Freight Awards on 10 September 20206 dug deep to support the cause.

Representatives from the charity attended the event, which brought together figures from across the rail industry to celebrate achievements in the sector. Guests from Rail Freight Group were among those who contributed generously on the night, helping the total raised reach £3,500.

The evening also featured talks on how rail supports economic growth, with speakers highlighting the sector’s role in connecting communities, supporting jobs, and driving investment across the country.

Despite the diversity of perspectives in the room, there was clear alignment around what matters most: passengers want a railway they can trust , one that is safe, reliable, and looks after its people.

RBF thanked attendees for their generosity and for choosing the charity as their partner for the evening, adding that the support of volunteers remains essential to the organisation’s work.
