RBF Receive £1,000 from Friends of Wemyss Bay Station Bookshop

A celebrated community asset, Friends of Wemyss Bay Station is making an immediate and generous impact, delivering an impressive £1,000 to Railway Benefit Fund.

The donation comes from the popular concourse bookshop, run entirely by the dedicated station adoption group. Recently transitioning to a Community Interest Company (CIC), the group has cemented its position as a charitable powerhouse, ensuring that the bookshop’s success directly translates into formal financial support for local causes.

The bookshop has generously offered to sell copies of “Journey of a Railway Signalman” and all proceeds will benefit the railway family.

Railway Benefit Fund thank the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station Bookshop for their support, which will help railway people and their families facing challenging times.

We encourage local residents and the public to visit the bookshop, reminding them that every book purchased helps fund the next donation.
