RBF takes Railway Lottery to Network Rail colleagues in Manchester
Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) continued its drive to promote the new Railway Lottery this week, with a visit to Network Rail’s Square One office in Manchester.
The Railway Lottery is RBF’s latest fundraising initiative, designed to give railway people a fun way to play while making a real difference to colleagues across the industry. For every £1 ticket sold, 50p goes straight back into supporting railway people facing challenging times, whether that’s financial hardship, injury or illness.
During the visit, the RBF team spoke with colleagues about how the lottery works, where the money goes and how the charity’s support can help railway staff and their families when they need it most. Many people stopped by to find out more, and a number signed up to the mailing list to hear about upcoming draws and news.
Suzy Powell, Head of Fundraising, said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to see us at Square One. It was great to chat with so many people and share how the Railway Lottery can help us be there for railway people when life gets tough. Every ticket really does make a difference.”
The visit is part of an ongoing programme to raise awareness of the Railway Lottery across the rail network, with more events planned in the coming months.
