RSSB Renews Commitment to RBF as ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2026

Following a standout year of community impact, the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) has officially announced it will support Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) as its designated Charity of the Year for 2026.

This marks a consecutive partnership between the two organisations, building on a highly successful 2025 campaign that saw creative fundraising efforts reach new heights.

Last year, the fundraising charge was led by the duo of Paul Costello and Phoebe Day. Through a series of coordinated events, from bake sales to a quiz night, the pair successfully raised a total of £3,205 for RBF. Their efforts provided critical support for railway workers and their families facing challenging times

For the 2026 term, the “charity collective” is undergoing a significant expansion. The team has grown from a duo to a seven-member powerhouse of RSSB staff. The new collective is working on an ambitious calendar of events, ranging from physical challenges to collaborative office initiatives.
