TECEN Golf Society Raises £260 for Railway Benefit Fund

Once again, TECEN has proven its support for the Railway Family, through their love of golf.

The TECEN Golf Society’s 2026 tour to Lille, held in June and organised by Secretary Steve Wesson, has raised £260 in support of Railway Benefit Fund (RBF).

As part of the trip, the Society’s traditional fundraising quiz brought out plenty of friendly competition among members, with this year’s title going to Phil Hudson, who was crowned the worthy winner.

Now retired, Hudson previously worked for Interfleet Technology and SNC Lavalin during his career, and was pictured alongside fellow Society members as they offered their congratulations on his win.

The Lille tour is the latest chapter in the Golf Society’s long-running commitment to charitable fundraising, with members continuing to combine their love of the game with meaningful support for good causes across the railway community.

Suzy Powell, Head of Fundraising, said, “The charity really appreciates the continued support shown by TECEN and its Golf Society, noting that fundraising efforts like this make a genuine difference to those within the Railway Family who need help.”
