Skills-Based Volunteer
As a small charity, every skill counts, and that’s where our Skills-Based Volunteers come in. Whether you’re a whiz with marketing, numbers, design, IT, admin, or something else entirely, your expertise could help us do more for railway families who need us.
It’s amazing what a few hours of the right skill can achieve. Here are just a few examples of people who’ve generously given their time: Afiniti helped us bring our Mission Video to life, something we simply couldn’t have done alone, and Caroline, a partner at Afiniti, later came to our office in Crewe to help facilitate a workshop on brand personas.
Nick from GTSR generously gave his time as a designer to create a brand-new logo for our Railway Lottery. Vicki from Network Rail, an archivist, helped us archive and organise our historical documents and ledgers dating back to 1858. Small acts of generosity like these make a real difference to how we operate and communicate.
This is flexible, project-based volunteering that fits around your schedule; it’s entirely up to you. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be on hand throughout to guide you and answer any questions.
